How hard is to get a job in the government with military background and some college? |
I was in the U.S Navy 4 years, right now I am working on a bachelors degree in accounting. I got my AA degree and now I am in my junior year . is it hard for a person with this background to get a government job? Go to http://www.opm.gov and click on USA jobs. The rest is self-explanatory. It will tell you where jobs are, the requirements, the duties, the pay scales, the forms that you have to fill out, in fact it has the forms on the site. Also try this site http://www.usa.gov/index.shtml Shouldn't be, actually with a degree you could become multiple things. Check with a career counselor at school. No, you have a better chance getting a job with having a military background. It should be a lot easier because i think you still get an automatic 10 points on any test you take for the government, and military are usually picked first. I should think it's no harder than anyone else applying for a government job - generally though they promote from inside and recruit from selected colleges ...... try googling 'government employment/jobs' ... see what comes up .... |
