LPN's....in demand...or Phased out?

LPN's....in demand...or Phased out?

I have been an LPN for 14+ years at the same hospital. True, there are many more opportunities for RN's, however sadly, many do not have enough clinical experience to be of use in a hospital setting. RN's get a great deal of book instruction, but not enough "hands-on" training. This, of course, is not true of all RN's, but I have been around enough to know a good one from a bad one.
LPN are being phased out in hospitals. We have cca that replace lpn with less pay. Go for your Rn you can work in any field and better pay. your job will be secure unlike LPN

Also Rns do get alot of hands on training its the lazy ones that don't use it
RN
my hospital is phasing them out!! we are under appreciated and overworked!! oh yeah also under paid!! the rn's and lpn's do almost exactly the same job except for put meds through the i.v. but yet they get paid $20.00 more!! my advise for new lpn's/lvn's go straight for your rn's !!!
