What classes should my son take in High School to become a Pharmacist? |
What classes should my son take in High School to become a Pharmacist? Chemistry, Biology, Calculus...same as the other poster. Chemistry Chemistry, Biology and Calculus dont worry about high school classes. just let him take whats needed to graduate...he'll get into pharmacy stuff in college. I'm a pre-pharm student right now and let me tell you something. :) It doesnt really matter at all what SUBJECT of classes you take in high school. Its more of the study habits you learn and the LEVEL THAT YOU'RE CHALLENGING YOURSELF. If possible make sure he is taking AP(advanced placement) and honors classes because it will challenge him more so he wont freak out in college. After taking mostly AP classes in high school, college freshman courses were a breeze for me. AP classes are also great because they are college level and if he passes the examination in high school he doesnt have to take that class in college which cuts down time to get into pharmacy school. A lot of math and science courses a classic hard science grounding (physics, chemistry, biology etc.) all the math they can all the advanced English they can, with a writing emphasis Spanish |
