What is a great question to ask an employer while closing a interview? How about "Have I left any doubt in your mind that I'd be a great addition to your team? If they anwer 'yes' you can ask them why and put their concerns to rest. If they answer 'no', you've sown the seed in their mind, or perhaps tipped them over the edge to hiring you. Look up information on the company and decide what you would like to learn a bit more about. Ask questions pertinent to the job... will you be working in a cubicle, or out in the open? Who would you report to? What is the dress code? Tell me a little something about the people I'd be working with? That's soemthign I always want to know about... anything they can tell me about my co-workers helps. Some employers won't say a word, but others will give you an insight as to what kind of characters you may be interacting with. Also, ask where previous people who've held the position have gone off to. Did they advance in their careers, or did they fall on their faces? You're interviewing them as much as they're interviewing you. As desperately as you may need a job, entering into a bad fit could be very detrimental to your career, so you need to find ways to feel them out a bit and make sure you're not walking into a living hell.
