Where can I get my Associates in Nursing Online? I have a B.S. in Med Micro and 4yrs as an EMT?

I have a B.S. in Med Micro/4yrs as an EMT and currently work as a triage nurse for a public health clinic, but having my RN's License is the difference between 20/hr and 40/hr. Every nursing associates program in the state of CA is at least 2yrs and a full time commitment i.e. 2yrs no income, please help!

Try the college Network
I really wouldn't trust any of those 'online schools' such as university of phoenix, kaplan university, strayer u, devry u as employers don't really see those schools as reputable. And I don't know that one can really get a quality nursing education from online since there tends to be work simulations in class and all. I wonder about a LPN/licensed practical nurse program thru the local county vo-tech program which typically takes about one year.
Most community colleges have online programs. I am actually in the midst of one now. Stay far away from Strayer and all of those types of schools.
You can't get an initial RN degree on the internet...ANYWHERE...so you can stop searching for one.

What you are seeing offered online is an LPN-RN bridge program...but LPN's are technically nurses, and they had to go to a physical school to get that certification.

You can't get an LPN online either...anywhere.

California is one of the toughest states to get into a nursing program. What you are seeing...is how it is. All you can do is apply, and get on a wait list.
How can you be currently working as a "triage Nurse" without a nursing license?
News Flash....there is no "short-cut" to being a nurse...despite being an EMT. Having been a trauma coordinator at several medical centers and understanding the EMT role...no go. What is done in the field is totally different than what a nurse does at the bedside.
Don't short change yourself, nor the nursing profession. Do the right thing...if you're in that much of a hurry and already have a BS, then go for the ADN. You'll be able to transfer a ton of science pre-reqs and only have to take the nursing core courses and clinical...piece of cake, but a necessary piece of cake.
Oh, btw, if you think as an EMT your role surpasses that of the Registered Nurse...then stay an EMT...you won't be able to handle the reality of nursing.
