My husband and I are both RN's (I have a BSN)- we want to locate somewhere close the ocean-where are the jobs California they pay nurses the most in the entire nation also, due to the severe shortage. I'll try to find the article I read on it.. I can't find the article. It was either on AOL or Yahoo and it had to do with the most in-demand jobs seperated by parts of the U.S.A. Sorry, but if you do a web search for "nurse shortage california" you find a lot of information. Vero Beach, FL where I'm from... Generally closes near the ocean have the most ppl that are in retirement aka aging. Need nurses the most. Places like calif and florida..lots of opportunitys for rn's good luck..... You can pretty much get a job anywhere with your rn license. any decent sized city will have a hospital(s) My aunt was recruited by a "traveling nurse" company and they pay her BIG bucks to be a nurse in California and she had a choice of several different cities to go to. She also has the choice to change cities every four or six months (can't remember if she decides every 4 or every 6). Email me and I will send her ur email so that she can answer your questions or get u in touch with her recruiter I've heard Corpus Christi is really good for nurses, and they have a great children's hospital there. Housing isn't outrageous either; you can get a waterfront house that is like 5 yrs old for about 400,000. |
