How would u handle a boss who constanly meddles in your life outside of your job?

I have a boss who constanly acts very unprofessional. She constanly keeps things stirred up around the work place. S he also makes rules that my apply to me but not to someone eles. She plays alot of favortism and I really think its unfair. I know alot of people may say find another job, but I really love my residents and Imake pretty good money. Should I voice my concerns to her boss? I believe if I do I will be her prime suspect to harass.

Start documenting everything. Look at your company's harassment policy. Most of them tell you exactly what the appropriate steps are to formally filing a complaint. Once you have a legitimate argument, either ask to speak to her privately, speak to her supervisor privately, or to both of them at the same time in private. Most policies state that you should talk it over with your immediate supervisor unless you don't feel comfortable talking to them about it, at which time you should contact the next person in your chain of command.

You could also try talking to someone in the Human Resources Department as they may know the policy a bit better.

You want to make sure you do this the right, textbook way, so that you are covered should your boss try to get back at you.
i think you need to report this to another manager asap. best you get your version in first
i believe i would request a conference in her office and tell her flat out how you feel. she may not realize that she is doing the things you say she does.
The most important thing to do in any situation where there is ongoing conflict is to document everything. List the whats, wheres, with whom's and whens. Make sure to take down the times and dates of these occurrences. It doesn't have to be fancy. You can write in a hurry and clean up your notes at home later.

When you've collected enough evidence, schedule a meeting with this person and/or her superiors. Don't just meet with her alone as she could manipulate things. You need a witness when you meet with her.

Do you have a human resources office to go to?

Edit: I wrote this before the person above answered, listen to him as well regarding policy. He's absolutely right.
personal experience with the most corrupt agency on Earth
The bottom line is that if you do not have enough evidence to get your boss moved out of the job, then you have to work to get them promoted or alternatively quit and find a new job. I would try other areas in hospital and look on outside. This boss probably has a long history. I had a boss that was sheer hell on earth for six months. I was the longest six months of my life. It was not worth it. I would not be robbed again.
I personally, would think it would be difficult for a boss to meddle in your life, if they didn't know what was going on in your personal life......and that can only come from you.

Don't voice your concerns....if your boss tries to ask anything about what is going on outside of work, ignore it, and bring up a work issue you would like to discuss.
