Are any Pharmacies hiring pharmacy assistants? |
I am looking for a job as a PHARMACIST ASSISTANT OR TECH? YES GO TO THE PHARMACY AND APPLY PERSONALLY OR EMPLOYMENT AGENCIES MAY HAVE OPENINGS... SOMETIMES THEY ADVERISED IN THE NEWPAPER TOO UNDER HELP WANTED MEDICAL IT IS HELPFUL IF YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE SUCH AS MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY AND ARE GOOD IN MATH AND CODES. OF COURSE, IF YOU HAVE WORKED IN A DRS. OFFICE THAT WOULD BE GOOD. EXPERIENCE IS VALUABLE BUT EVEN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY, KEEP A GOOD ATTITUDE AND SHOW THAT YOU HAVE A LOT OF PATIENCE... Source(s): HAVE WORKED IN THE MEDICAL FIELD.. THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOB HUNTING SEARCH.. THE MEDICAL FIELD IS WIDE OPEN. Have you actually tried to go to a PHARMACY to apply? You have to go through Tech school first. I'm not sure about the job prospects though it may vary among one's geographic location. There seem to be affordable training programs for pharmacy technician which I believe covers topics such as chemistry, basic math, the various medications and classifications and I'm sure other topics will be discussed. There is a certification exam for pharmacy tech's which one would think can only enhance one's credibility in the field. For training, please do only look into the lesser expensive schools such as thru the county community college (perhaps non-credit course) or county vo-tech school. Perhaps you can apply for a position as a pharmacy clerk which I suppose is a cashier clerk in the pharmacy. That can help you decide if you would like to pursue your education further. Good luck to you! P.S. Please refrain from those 'online schools' such as penn foster and stratford career institute as employers don't really view them as reputable schools. |
