Do clinical medical assistants have a good salary?

Do clinical medical assistants have a good salary?

I went to school in 1992 to become a medical assistant. The highest pay I ever was offered was $12 an hour in a hospital setting and then $11 in a doctors office. But from that education I am able to do all sorts of different jobs such as home health care or assisted living positions. Good luck
I can only answer about Minnesota, but yes, we had a great salary. When I started in 1990, the starting wage was $11.40 per hour. Your medical was all paid for, you got a uniform allowance and there was so much room for advancement. They payed for weight reduction, smoking cessation and the classes you need to take to keep up your certification. It's a great field to be in. They might also pay for advancing classes so you could go for LPN or RN. At least they did at the clinic I worked at.

Yes! They make 10 dollars and up an hour. And you don't have to work everyday it's more like every other day. Depends on the places you apply for you can make way more than that.
I have actually heard (or read ;) that there are not too many positions for medical assistants (nor for medical coders and billers) despite what schools may say.
