How much money do you get as a personal trainer/physician?

hey i was wondering taking up one of those jobs as a career, are any of you doing it and how much money do you get approximately?

this is something i am good and interested at doing.

thanks.

A personal trainer does not make that much money unless they are personal trainer to the stars. That's not going to happen. I know people that pay a personal trainer $13 an hour to come to their house. That's not a lot. Of course, I live in a suburban area. I'm not sure what the city folk are paying, but I don't think it's that great. Now, you also say a physician. That's a lot different from a personal trainer, takes years and years to become a doctor that makes decent money. I'd say about 12 years from when you start school until you make the big bucks. I used to babysit for a doctor that was out of his formal schooling for a year and was doing his residency for a mere $38k a year. He had over $150k in loans.
You are talking about two completely different career paths and educational backgrounds. To become a personal trainer all you really need is a certificate and you can work for a gym to get experience. After that you could go out on your own and you could earn maybe $100 a session depending on if you have a niche market and the georgraphic area where you live.
To become a doctor you need college (with amazing grades and extra-curricular activities) and than you need to take the MCAT exam and apply to med schools. Getting into med school is extremely competitive. Most schools get thousands of applications for a couple hundred spots. Many people in the US end up going to Grenada or the Dominican Republic where med school is a little less competitive, and they come back to the US for residency. Becoming a doctor is atleast a seven year commitment before you are even practicing. Med School is four years, residency is three years and than if you want to specialize (surgery, Cardiology etc..) it is longer. You also have to take the boards which is not an easy test. Most practices will take you on without being board certified, but many insurances will not allow you to take their insurance.
If you want to become an Internist you will make a nice living (six figures) but not as much as doctors made pre HMO. I know a Pediatrican who used to make $300 K plus and with HMO's her income has dropped to about $150 K. I have a cousin who is an Anesthiosilogist and right out of residency he made $350,000. Also keep in mind it depending on what kind of doctor you are the higher your malpractice rates. Anything involoving surgery; Anesthesia, OB-Gyn or Orthopedics requires millions in malpractice insurance. If you are in a practice most practices will take care of the monthly premium for you, but everyday you are taking a life into your hands. So with a sue happy America, keep in mind someone will try to sue you for the smallest thing.
