The #1 thing is your health. I know we all have to have $$$, but if you continue to work, you could become paralyzed. Is it worth it??? Do not see a chiropractor without consulting with your dr first. Reason, you could have a bulging or herniated disc that could become worse with the manipulation from a chiropractor. I would not recommend surgery unless you can not walk or you lose control of your bowels or bladder (not to scare you, but it is a scary thing) because the scar tissue from surgery can become worse for you than the actual disc itself and surgery most of the time only lasts approximately up to 5 years if that. If you have not had an MRI, ask your dr for one. This is a very common problem. Pain meds will help. It all depends on how bad your back problem is. Is your disc only bulging or is it herniated? If so, is it hitting your cord, etc. These are questions you need the answers to before you make any decisions on anything.
don`t let those butchers cut on you. go see a good chiropractor. believe me i`m talking from experience.
I suffer from sciatica after surgery on my lumbar region and I bought a TENS machine and found them very effective. maybe you could hire one or borrow one.
I know they hire them for maternity purposes. I bought ours from boots about 8 years ago. it was expensive but its still going strong.
i dont no
Sciatica is pain along the sciatic nerve. lumbar region is the region corresponding to the lumbar vertebra L1 to L5. Sciatica commonly occurs due to disc prolapse which can be caused by improper position or whilst lifting heavy weights. Absolute bed rest is the hallmark of treating such problems. Once the problem settles strengthening exercises of the back muscles reduces the risk of the problem recurring.
