What is the average income for a nurse practitioner?

It depends on the countries.

In third world countries, it is very small, so the tendency of nurses is to go to USA and if they passed CFGNS, they get handsome salaries, maybe about $60,000 per year.
It depends on what kind of NP you are. I work as an RN in a hospital, and some of the NPs work just as much as the doctors, with 12 plus hour days, and call time durring the week as well. Those NPs make around 120,000/year. (and so if you really look at it, they are making less per hour than the regular RNs do) I also know of some NPs that dont have such long hours, or call time, and they make about 80,000/year. I imagine a clinic NP would make something around that as well.
