Typical day like for NURSING ASSISTANT?

what is a typcal day like for a CNA?

In addition to the other duties mentioned, the cna must be able to deal with difficult and challenging behaviors of the patients or residents as they may be confused or agitated especially if have dementia or the more specific type of demential, Alzheimer's disease. And this must be done so that the tasks of (ADL's) activities of daily living skills which include bathing, dressing and feeding oneself can be accomplished in a way that leaves the patient with a sense of dignity.

For more info on the general duties of a cna: US Occupational Outlook Handbook www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'nursing assistant' or such.

Here is another website: National Network of Career Nursing Assistants www.cna-network.org/ (It seems like an organization for those that are already in the field but there is also a message board section to peruse.) Source(s): I just saw this site on another 'yahoo answer' question about what cna's typically deal with: www.angelfire.com/co2/ (website continued) cnaworld/
bathe patients
change their beds
walk patients
feed them
clean their privates
Doing alot of the duties that are not so pleasant. Like changing patient's beds, cleaning up after them, fedding them if needed. Pretty much whatever the nurse needs help is what you get to do.
Very hard work, lifting patients, cleaning up pee and crap, changing beds, feeding them, giving baths, pretty much what anyone would do for someone that can't do for themselves.
