Normally with any surgical tech field, it requires a certification what kind for working in the dental office, I don't know, but you can find out at your local city colleges, because the field for sterilization tech are very stringent, therefore you will need to pass a state, or national certification, and have formal schooling. The classes are cheaper at a city college, but if you went into a surgical tech program, in the private sect such as a technical school, this can be quite expensive. Make sure that school has the requirements that meet the highest Accrediting body, in other word's the school you choose needs to be certified, by the surgical tech field in order to get a good certification, because other wise your wasting your time and money . |
