I want to be in the medical field, but i hate blood, what would be a good medical job for me? |
i want to go to college for a job in the medical field, but i hate blood, and needles. I want a good paying job that doesnt require more then 7 years in college. Does anyone no of any good medical jobs? I was the same as you.....LOVE the medical field, but totally grossed out by blood and bodily fluids. I ended up going to school for health information management. I took a two-year associates degree course and will be a Registered Health Information Technician after my exam. There is also a 4-year bachelor's degree course available for Registered Health Information Administrators. In general, you deal with all aspects of the medical record and I find it to be very fascinating. You get to learn everything about a patient's stay, course of treatment, resource utilization, and gather statistical information, etc. Jobs available to RHITs vary in pay and skill, from entry level data entry (coding) to management. RHIAs are almost always upper management. If you enjoy working with sick patients on a daily basis, health information is not for you because it is mostly (but not all) office-type work. If you think this type of work may interest you, do some online research and then talk to someone who is in the profession to get a first-hand account of the daily work life. Have you considered doing research? The amount of blood and needles is minimal, and you'd potentially be making important contributions. xray tech , or mri tech . ct tech too , but you do sometimes have to put an iv in someone for that . its easy though and you dont have to do it alot . Don't even worry about it!!! There are sooo many jobs in the medical field that don't have to do with blood... It's too many to even list!!! One of the highest paying jobs in the world is paleoforensics. You get to find out how something died that was thousands or millions of years old. It is a tremendously growing field and there are not enough paleoforensics people around to the job adequately. check the below link its useful http://datentryworksworkathomeobs.blogsp... . |
