Is there alot of Vareity for LPN?

Is there alot of Vareity for LPN?

Absolutely! I have worked everywhere from ICU to barrio clinics. I finally settled on hospice nursing, and I go and stay with patients and their families while they are dying. You can work in doctors offices, nursing homes, public health clinics, etc. I don't know what state you are in, but here in Texas, the only things I can't do are hang blood or chemo or hyperalimentation or access implanted ports. I can even pronounce people dead.
It actually depends on where you live and work.

Some states have more restrictions on what the LPN can do (compared to the RN) and those nurses have more limited options for work.

In addition, some facilities have more restrictions on what the LPN can do.

As examples, the federal govenment system (such as military or VA hospitals) really closes off a lot of doors to the LPN. Even where the LPN is able to work they find themselves unable to do a lot of things. On the other hand, many doctors offices tend to hire LPNs because they can pay them less than RNs and a physician can usually allow anyone working for them to perform almost any procedure.
