What is needed when doing Nursing?

What is needed when doing Nursing?

Do you really need to be SMART???

Compassion and patience. A strong stomach for all the blood and diaper changes for the elderly and the vomit.
A good memory, strong understanding, not just in nursing but in medicine in general. Know your way around the human body, plenty of study time and how to make the patients feel comfortable whilst in your care.
Hope this helps and good luck with your Nursing.
Have a great day/night!!!

yes, you need to be smart. A nursing degree is 4 years of hard work....and after the school..... you will be taking care of sick people, when there is no doctor around. Im an ICU nurse. We take care of deathly ill people round the clock, and once or twice a day the doctor rolls in. The doctor bases their orders on the nurses observations and informtation. If the nurse is stupid, and hands over the wrong info.....problems!
