Do you think a person should go on a job interview even if they are not qualified enough ? |
I got a called today for an interview but I am not sure if I meet all the qualifications. I really would like to get the job however. It would be fantastic. Often - especially in a tight labor market like exists right now, NO ONE meets all of the requirements of the job. In this case, they are looking for the person that they can best train on the job. Yes, go to the interview! Good luck to you. Yes, just blag it! If they like your personality and give a good impression at the interview. They may be willing to take a chance on you. They called you, so thats the first step. Go to the interview. They might like what they see. The worse they can do is not call, but the worse u can do is not go,and they hire someone when it should've been you. Without a doubt, is doesn't hurt trying? You might not have what they want on paper but you could Impress them at the interview and I'm sure you enthusiasm will shine through. At the worst, you wont get the job but you'll have some good interview experience. What job did you apply for? Absolutly! Go for it! What's the worse that can happen? The worse that can happen is you won't get the job. The best senario is that you get the job and find out that you are fabulous at it! Absolutely go!!! There a couple of reason why it's a good idea. First of all, you can get too much practice interviewing - it's always good experience. Second, even if you aren't qualified for the exact position, it doesn't mean that they don't have another position that you may be better qualified for - or they might have a couple of months down the road. |
