Medical Clerk? |
I am thinking about becoming an Medical Clerk. I saw a school online where you can get a certificate. Now i heard that i shouldnt do that because some doctors will train you Which do you think its better and do you think it is a good job which lots off job openingsa I should first mention that those 'online schools' such as penn foster and stratford career institute are not generally viewed as reputable by employers. And sorry, but I'm not really sure what is meant by 'medical clerk' unless you mean 'medical records clerk' or 'medical office assistant'. I have heard that there are not too many jobs for medical assistant (nor medical billing and coding) even though there are a lot of schools that train for either one. Please instead go with a well-known school such as a county community college (perhaps even non-credit course) or county vo-tech school. Source(s): For US colleges and universities: www.utexas.edu/world/univ For more info on various careers of interest: US Occupational Outlook Handbook www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'medical records clerk' or such. if you are school and certified you will make money . if your not certified you will probably get a crappy pay rate , and probably work in office that doesnt offer any bennefits |
