Which CAREER is better??? Please help me decide!?

I want to do something in the medical field. I know nursing is on demand but............I'm just not so sure about being one. Is a medical assistant better? I also want to work in a hospital more than just a doctors office...xP

I don't want a crappy career, I want something with GOOD PAY and GOOD HOURS.
I'm about to start college soon and I really need to know. Someone with good experience would be nice. I want facts not really opinions. Thank you people. :)

I think a career in pharmacy might be your calling.

Why Pharmacy?

1) Flexible Work Schedule

2) High Paying 75-150K starting out

3) You can start a family

4) Don't have to deal with blood

5) Faster to finish than a medical doctor Source(s): If you are interested in pharmacy, please visit

Hi All,
Have you talked with your counsel at school. When I went there was a special counselor that knew what the workplace trends will be in the future. Alot of us 40 somethings are going to be all retiring soon and we will need you to be there to help us. Go for the gold be a Dr. Start at the bottom as a cma and go from there. Being able to do billing codes has a huge future..
thank to you...
My ex girlfriend is a medical assistant. She makes ok money and she doesn't seem to have any problems finding a job when she wants to change but a lot of what she does is the same as a nurse just for half the pay! She has always worked in Dr.'s offices but I think she could work in a hospital. The drawback to working in a hospital is they are open 24/7 whereas a Dr.'s office is usually 8 to 5 So if you are looking for good hours with no weekends you have a better chance at an office rather than a hospital. Go to school a little longer and become a pharmacist. They have excellent pay and job opportunities.
It doesn鈥檛 make any difference what kind of career or business you have or want to have: EVERY BUSINESS, is a 鈥減eople business鈥? EVERY CAREER is a 鈥減eople career.鈥?AND EVERY PERSON 鈥渉as to pay her or his dues.鈥?br /> To merely say I want to do something in the medical field. I know nursing is on demand but............I'm just not so sure about being one. Is a medical assistant better? I also want to work in a hospital more than just a doctors office...xP . . . .
I don't want a crappy career, I want something with GOOD PAY and GOOD HOURS I really need to know. Someone with good experience would be nice. I want facts not really opinions.鈥?鈥?is not enough. You have to find out what it is you want. Is it fair to make other people responsible for your happiness or unhappiness? What excites you? What stimulates you? THEN you find out about those things.

If you look at my sources, you鈥檒l see what I did and what I鈥檓 doing. I had a ball! I had fun! I met and worked with all kinds of wonderful people. I worked with a few not-so-nice people too. I鈥榤 having a wonderful time being here!.

The EXACT same Qs each of my mentors asked me, I鈥檓 asking you.
IN RETURN: YOU MUST BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF:

Who knows you, better than you? No one - except Y-O-U! YOU!

Who Knows your habits better than you? No one - except Y-O-U! YOU!

Who Knows what your wants, needs, dreams and desires are better than you? No one - except Y-O-U! YOU!

Who knows what you like and dislike better than you? No one - except Y-O-U! YOU!

(((As you can see, I took the liberty of answering the questions for you. Am I right?)))

BEFORE you make that investment, Investigate.

Ask questions of knowledgeable people.

There are two old sayings:
A] "The only stupid question is the question you don't ask."
B] "So, you thought --- and think --- education is expensive? Just wait until you try ignorance."

Remember this: When you are in a group and you or someone else asks a question; that question being asked could be a question one or more folks have on their mind, BUT are afraid to ask.

DON'T be afraid to ask questions - and keep asking questions until you get understandable answers to your questions. This requires persistence and tenacity.

Will some folks think you're a pain in the neck [and another place]? Absolutely. Don't settle for
"fluff" answers or "smoke and mirrors" answers.

After getting ALL your questions answered to your satisfaction, HOW do you make your decision?
Benjamin Franklin developed a very simple, yet very effective system.
Sit down in a very quiet place. No TV, radio or any other interruptions or distractions.
At the top on a blanks sheet of paper, write the situation/challenge/problem you are faced with:
Should I/we do .....?
After the question draw a vertical line down the middle and a horizontal line across the top of that vertical line - much like a very large upper case "T".

On the left side of that middle vertical line, write "For" or "+".
On the right side of that middle vertical line, write "Against" or "-".

Under that +, you number and write down ALL those things or points which could help you to go FOR that question.
Under that -, you number and write down ALL those things or points which could help you NOT to go or Against that question.

You can use more than 1 sheet of paper for one career. You can take as long as you like. You can take as little time as you like. This is your career and your life you are getting answers to and about.. Do the same for any and all other careers your interested in pursuing. You can switch back from sheet to sheet and from + to - and then from - to +. .

Look at the numbers between the all of your sheets: When the + outnumber/outweigh the -, do it. When the - outnumber/outweigh the +, don't do it.

I hope this gives you 鈥渟ome food for thought鈥?

Thank you for asking your question. I enjoyed taking the time to answer your question. You did a great job - not only for your information, but for every other person interested in reading my answer.

I wish you well!
