Huge problem..Need Advice? |
Ok.i just caught the 'common cold'...stuffy nose, scratchy throat, and the caughing spell. I have an appointment for my second interview at this company in one more day. I really want this job...i really dont want to reschedule my interview bc i feel thats leaving a really bad impression. My cold usually lasts for a week. What shld i do?? How do i NOT come off as this total candidate full of germs for the job??? or shld i reschedule??? Thanks! Take whatever over-the-counter drugs have helped you in the past and go to the interview. Explain to the main person you'll be talking to that you've got a minor cold but that you're very excited about the opportunity and didn't want to miss the opportunity to discuss it and explain how your experience and education can help you be successful in this position. Only discuss your cold once and then move on. Don't keep going back to it or bringing it up. Try a few cold suppressants and if one works go with that. I wouldn't reschedule. you have to strike when the iron is hot Ziacam and Theraflu- trust me it works. Go buy some Alka Seltzer Cold medicine. Take it. It tastes terrible but it works. You should be able to take it at least three times before the interview. Whatever you do, do not let your doctor trick you into taking Antibiotics for a common cold. Don't cancel the interview. If necessary, take some cold medication that does not make you drowsy. If the symptoms are obvious, tell he interviewer that you are just getting over a cold and that you shouldn't shake hands. |
