I need to know where to find a medical transcription job that doesn't want years of experience? |
Everything I have foud\nd has wanted experienced MT's. I just finished school and need to find a job. What course did you graduate from? What companies have you applied to? Have you been able to test with any? How are you scoring with the employment testing? Most companies do require years of experience, but will waive this if you graduate from an 'approved' school. There are many companies which will hire new graduates from these schools. It isn't impossible, as stated by another individual. I see new graduates find work every day. It's almost impossible to get a job working from home right off the bat. The national services almost all require 3+ years of experience, ideally "acute care". If you search the Internet you may find one or two companies willing to provide a mentor, but the pay will be quite low. After you get the experience many doors will open to you. Good luck! PS: I'm an MT with 8+ years experience. Experience is of utmost importance in medical transcription. However, if you can do the job well, I cannot see any reason why you cannot be hired. You can work for me, but we are in the Philippines ositranscription.com hires newbies; they take them on in their mentoring program. Not all newbies are hired but some. Also check mtstars.com; look through the forums for the job board. Also mtjobs.com. Some companies (not many) take on the newbie and train them. Look for ER accounts, clinic accounts, sometimes those don't require as much experience. Good luck! |
