What will it be like to be a medical biller? |
What will it be like to be a medical biller? I have heard that there are not too many jobs for medical billers (and coders as well as medical assistants for that matter :) Perhaps it depends also on one's geographic location. Medical billers may deal with insurance companies and trying to get them to pay a claim that was denied. They say that the movie 'Sicko' by michael moore shows how corrupt health insurance companies really are. If you really want to get training in medical billing, please go to a school that is accredited as well as less expensive than those private schools. One will be in debt while trying to obtain and keep a job if attending those types of schools. The local community college (perhaps non-credit course) or county vo-tech school may offer such a program. Source(s): For more info on various careers: US occupational outlook handbook www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'medical biller' or such. accounting Very boring to sit at adesk and do the same thing every day. But, if that's what you into go for it. Me, I can't sit still for nothing!! I'm an RN . Boring....completely mind numbing... boring probley...idk It will be a lot of data entry...day in and day out...it gets boring after a while. |
