I have an interview for a good job bad location. Do I take it or hold out for better? |
My resume is on monster and yahoo and have applied for about 7 positions and these folks are the only ones who have contacted me. I have a BS and pretty good job experience. What am I doing wrong? Keep applying for jobs, but go to the interview anyway. You might want to have someone you trust look at your resume and give you some feedback - as a person who has reviewed LOTS of resumes, I can tell you if there are any spelling or grammatical errors, formatting problems, odd font sizes/types used...your resume will be passed over for one that looks more professional. It depends on you and how badly you need a job and why the location is bad. Is it located in a high-crime area? Would taking the job involve extensive relocation? Go to the interview and get a feel for the company. Maybe the job could convert into a telecommuting position, at least part of the time. The job market is tough right now. Probably, you won't stay with this job all your life, but it very well may be better than no job at all. Easy Job Search http://www.moneynemployment.com/624... It is really a choice of priorities.... Do you want to shoot for Geography or Income? And which one do you want more? What is your BS in and what type of job do you want? |
