Dental Assistant Online Course?

I am planning on taking ONLINE Courses for DENTAL ASSISTANT. However, I will need Financial Aid as my method of Payments. Please, let me know which Online School is the best one that accept Financial Aid for Studying Dental Assistant. Thank you.

I really want to caution you with considering taking a course from an 'online school' as they are generally not seen as reputable to employers. And with dental assisting, dentists will most likely have wanted you to get the hands-on training that one needs such as taking x-rays and using the suction, mixing chemicals and taking impressions. Most, if not all, programs will take financial aid or loans, but the student will get stuck repaying and possibly with interest that accrues. Perhaps you can look into attending a course nearby such as at a community college or county vo-tech school. They may even be less expensive than the online course and have the accreditation as well as credibility in the profession. Good luck in your endeavors! Source(s): Here is the website for the American Dental Association: www.ada.org and can click on 'careers' under the Oral Health column.

And for general info on careers which may also provide resources about financial aid: US occupational outlook handbook www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'dental assistant' or such.
Dental Assistant and online are not compatible for course work. You need to do clinical work in a supervised setting. Most of the time these classes are scheduled with the classroom and clinical classes complimenting each other.

Do your homework before signing up for this online course. Make sure that you will be able to get accreditation once you have completed it. Also check with your states licensing board to make sure they will accept your education without clinical work.

Check your local community college; they can help you with the class scheduling and financial aid. If they do not offer the dental assistants certificate they will point you toward a community college that does.

Good Luck.
Future Dental Hygienist.
Dental Assisting is a very hands-on field. I would not recommend an online program for this career; instead, look into reputable career colleges in your area that offer this program. Accredited schools will always offer different financial aid packages, as well.
