Brand new job.?

I start a brand new job on Monday and just found out I have a herniated disc. Any chance that they will understand when I have to start having dr appointments? It's through a temp agency but the job is temp to hire. How should I handle this?

Let your agency know, for sure. They are the go-between for you and the office, and will let you know if you should speak to your employer about it directly.
Just be honest...I too had a herniated disc back in 1984..I went to the Dr. a few times, but found the best was to do stretching excersises by myself. Look on line for back stretching exercises. Be honest with your employer. Heck, I even found an empty office where I worked and laid on the floor and stretched during my breaks and lunch time. The key to any back injury is to KEEP MOVING! The more you do the stronger you will get. Good luck!
