Any cool fun and challenging jobs in the medical field?.other than a physician?

Any cool fun and challenging jobs in the medical field?.other than a physician?

Difficult question as I dont know whether any job can be challenging yet fun! I love my job as a nurse and that can certainly be described as challenging and many would say it is cool as you get a lot of respect from patients at work, and from people in the outside world when you tell them what you do for a living, but fun? I don't think it could be called fun. It does have its funny moments but most of the time it is just plain hard work!

I have been thinking of the other jobs in the hospital that seem to be more 'fun' and I have come up with a few, but it depends on what level you want to work and how much money you want to earn, and how smart you are......

How about play leader? Someone who works on the childrens units organising play activities for the children well enough to participate, board games, toys, drawing, finding appropriate things for them to occupy their minds. That HAS to be fun!

Or how about psychiatric nurse, you must meet some bizarre people, and it would certainly be challenging, most of the ones I know love their job and certainly always look happy!

Or physiotherapist? Spending time helping people with mobility etc, and going in the hydrotherapy pool......
I would have to say occupational therapist. It's most deffinetly fun 'n creative. You also have to be patient and willing to work, making it challenging.
But, there are other jobs out there that are fun. one thats funner than OT is recreational therapist. often, you will work with the same patients that OTs and PTs work with. it even has the word "recreation" in it.
whatever you do, just pick a job that you will love.
GOOD LUCK!!
