Does anyone know what do i do, in order to work as an EMT-B after i get my NREMT certificate.? |
I just recieved my NREMT certificate in the mail a few weeks ago. I need to know what do i have to do now, in order to work in Los Angeles County. Here in Kentucky you have to be both NREMT and state certified before finding work. I was tested for and recieved both at the same time. You need to find out if the same restrictions apply to your area. Not all states require a state certification though. If all your state requires is an NREMT certificate, then you're ready to start submitting applications to your local ambulance/ff stations. Not too sure about cali but i know here in MO once you get your NREMT, you have to apply with the state to get your state license. Usually you have to provide your own background check. Been there, done that...last year actually |
