I want to work in the medical field but dont want to touch blood? |
I want to go back to college for a job in the hospital. i just dont want to touch blood or anything but i really want to help others. what are some options? help !!! no shots either Maybe you can do some kind of job where you help people find medical help or insurance or food or maybe help them find some classes on counseling. Physical therapist, maybe? There are several technical fields in medicine where blood is not part of the work. Check it out on the internet. Good luck. x-ray tech and physical therapist would be my sugestion -Jonathan Basically, you can't avoid seeing or touching blood in a hospital. But since you really want to help, you can work to a Nursing Home for the Aged, Orphanage or to a Mental Hospital. you could be an xray techician or a monitor technician. check out the technical jobs - you don't have to deal with patients or blood as much. NO ONE touches blood in the medical field. I have no idea of where the above posters are working, but NO ONE touches it. Have you not heart of AIDS? You can contract AIDS by touching blood or even have a drop of it splash in your eyes or on an open wound...even a paper cut. Hospital employees use gloves for EVERYTHING, and even DOUBLE glove if it's necessary. |
