How much do nurses get paid?

i am 31 years of age and starting bk college hopefully to become a nurse

I have been nursing for 2 years and now earn 拢19730, or $39,121 a year, that is about 拢1250 (or $2478) a month. I agree with the other comments here, it doesnt seem enough for what we do, we have to put up with high levels of stress, long hours on our feet, violent and aggressive patients, exposure to blood borne viruses and we are accountable not only for our own work but also that of others around us. For example, if a doctor prescribes a drug and it is wrong (i.e dosage) and we give it, we are held accountable.

I think we are paid so little in the UK because we dont complain enough, and we do it because we love the job and are dedicated to what we do, we do it because of the patients, not the money, and unfortunately that is taken advantage of. And nurses never strike out of principle, so we can never scare anyone into giving us a raise!
Around 17-25k depending on position, really not a lot for the amazing work they do
Not enough for what they do!
About 10% of what they should
Wifes a nurse
Depends on the area.
Wisconsin....$20 to $30 per hour.
Not much considering what they have to deal with.
