If I were to become a medical doctor would the classes I took to graduate as a doctor also allow to me to be a personal trainer for sports? If not what other, or how many other classes would I have to take to be able to do so?
No, sorry. Just because the muscles are in the body doesn't make you an expert in exercise physiology. You could prescribe diet pills though! I don't think a general medical degree would qualify you. You'd probably have to take a specialty in orthopedics. It would be easier to just do physical therapy with a PhD concentration in the topic. Chances are your responsibilities as a doctor would not only keep you fully occupied and thereby preventing you from having sufficient time to work as a personal trainer, but the potential conflict-of-issues might also prevent you from working in dual positions. Just the insurance liability alone would be sufficient to make you choose which profession you want to be in. No way would you be allowed to train people with any possibility of injury and then be allowed to treat said injury. Way too overlapping.
