My wife is an LVN in California. We dont have alot of money. Whats the best way for her to become an RN?
LVN (or LPN in some states) can earn an RN degree in one to two years. Most community colleges and also some 4-year schools offer this option to earn an associates degree in nursing. Cost varies, but EVERYONE should apply for financial aid to see what you're eligible for. At the very least, she'd probably be eligible for loans. You don't pay anything off while in school, and you get a 9 month grace period after graduation before you begin repayment. Payments are reasonable. Many employers offer tuition reimbursement also - she might just be able to go to school for free if she gets a job at the right place.
