If you are a Medical Assistant, do you love your job? Please give your likes and dislikes about this field? |
I have been contemplating on whether I should become a MA or not and I would like to know for anyone out there that is a Medical Assistant , what is about this field of work that you like or dislike about it? And also, have you thought about advancing in the Medical field by becoming a Registered Nurse later in the future? Please just say NO to this profession! It's terrible. You pay money to go to school for 9 months to learn a career that no one even knows what it is! You make an average of $8.00 to start. You can make more than that as an employee at a fast food restaurant and not have to go to school. You can be a CNA in 11 days of training that is usually paid for by the hospital or nursing home and they make the same amount of money. While your friends are in school becoming MAs, you will have already received your first raise and will be making more money than them without any loans. Also, another option would be LPN - you only have to go to school 3 months longer than a MA and you make DOUBLE! im not a medical assistant but I do know they dont make much money Well most smart people (no offense) will not settle as a MA because you can go so much higher in the medical field then settle for less.......I think! I've done MA and when your getting bossed around at the lowest position and pay then you'll continue your education going a little high, at a way better trade and better paying positon in the medical field! Continue on with your education and become a nurse etc. that's what I'm heading for right now!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been a ma for awhile now...don't go to an over-priced school like I did. They will tell you that you will make $17-20 an hour...but that is simply not true. You will start at 13.00 if you can find a employer who will hire you without any experience. |
