How Long Do You Go to College to Get a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing? |
How would it work? Thanks. It would be a 4 yr degree program. Basically for the first 2 years you would be taking prerequisites and lower level classes. Then for the last 2, Junior and Senior level classes. There are many different ways you can achieve a bachelors. Many colleges have RN programs and later if you choose to, can go to a RN-BSN program. Try looking for a school you are interested in and look at the degree programs. Or even go to a counselor at that school and they can explain everything to you. I looked into a school near me here in Texas. It shows what classes need to taken, just so you can get an idea of what they are. I've never attended the BSN program but am currently working on my RN.. Good luck and hope I helped you some. Source(s): http://www.uta.edu/nursing/bsn/bsnadmit.... http://www.uta.edu/nursing/bsn/faq.php... It's generally a four year program, split between classroom and clinical work. That really depends on what your priorities are! You could knock it out in 3 years if you don't work and go to college in the summer. You also have to do a hospital intern/externship, so that would also depend on how you work those hours. Most people knock that out in 4 to 5 years. Contact the college or university that offers the nursing degree and set up an appointment to come to the facility and speak with them. Typically between 3-4 years. Its worth it. Great pay. |
