Have graduated college for medical assistant cant find a job cam anyone help? |
I NEED TO FIND A JOB AS MEDICAL ASSISTANT THE COLLEGE WENT TO HAS NOT HELPED IN FINDING ME A JOB I LIVE IN ARKANSAS CANT FIND ANY JOBS UNDER MA ARE THERE ANY KEY WORDS TO HELP ME FIND A JOB? THANKS MA I have heard that the job market for medical assistants is not very good right now (as well as medical billers and coders) so you are not alone. Perhaps look for jobs such as a medical records clerk (may be called 'health information clerk'), medical receptionist, doctor's assistant, chiropractor's assistant, clerical assistant or physical therapy aide (Not assistant as the pt assistant has had to have gone to school for two years), or activity aide (activity aide may be needed in long-term care/nursing home settings). Perhaps you can get some experience from a temporary job agency. Good luck to you! It is very hard to get your foot in the door. I graduated with a 4.0 in medical assisting and had a wonderful supportive instuctor who talked me up to my first employer. Once you get out there, you will find it is not very rewarding. No one ever appreciates you and they keep piling the work on you.
