Speech Language Pathologist or Physician Assistant?? |
which career is more for humanitarian type people? how much overall medical knowledge do they both use?? which one is it easier 2 work part time while goin 2 school??? please, someone HELP ME!!! thank u! I don't know anything about being a Physician Assistant, but you cannot be an SLP until you have finished a graduate program in Speech Pathology. I do not people who have worked as SLP assisstants and then gone to grad school. I am not sure they continued to do both at the same time, however. Seems like that could be a possibility though. Being an SLP is a very hands on job. You are the only one who can do your job. There are no substitutes for SLPs. SLPs need to know about the brain, muscles, joints, bones, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, medications, articulation, language, and more. Hope that helps with the speech aspect.
