If a negative us underesposed, has it received too much light or not enough light? An underexposed negative means your subject was not well lit. The lighting was too low or your camera was not adjusted correctly to receive the image the way it was already lit. Source(s): Being in the photography business for 13 yrs. Underexposed refers to the amount of light hitting the negative, so this would mean NOT ENOUGH LIGHT has hit it. |
