You can become A LPN in most schools in a year But I believe it takes two years for CMA.Pretty certain they offer LPN on line not sure about CMA.
I have heard that there are not too many jobs for the certified medical assistant (though not sure about LPN's). For the clinical, hands-on experience, I don't think that there could be online courses to fulfill that requirement. And please do stay away from those 'online schools' such as penn foster and stratford career as employers generally don't see them as reputable. And please look into schools that are typically less expensive such as thru the local community college (perhaps non-credit course) or county vo-tech school.

For more info on careers: US occupational outlook handbook www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'licensed practical nurse' or such.
