Can your supervisor take hours away from you if you are on call, and give them to someone else?

The person that they gave my hours to was working a 3-11 shift, and since she has been at the job longer (i've been there a year) she has my hours and I'm stuck with 3 days for the entire month of Sept. I'm a caregiver by the way.

Hey if you have a union you should check with them.

If you don't, check with your HR dept

If you aren't into that--call your dept of labor & discuss your situation with them.
I gather that you are non-union so they can pretty much do anything they want to do. Sorry....
Employer can do pretty much anything to schedule to insure covreage. If you were on call is it possible they couldnt get in contact with you.A lot of employers dont even bother to get on phone its much easier to ask someone that is right at their finger tips.
