For entry level medical transcription you will almost certainly need to work in an office for awhile, a year or more. I don't know that there are any legit online jobs especially when they want 'start-up fees' or money upfront. And I really wouldn't trust anyone from a message board or chatroom even though it kind of feels like a safe place :) I'm not sure if any dr's offices will allow one to work as a transcriptionist from home, but that may be the only way to possibly get a legit at-home job. And please be wary of 'online schools' such as penn foster and stratford career as most employers don't view them as reputable but instead thru the local community college or county vo-tech school.
