I need a job and I want to work Triage for the ER, how do I do this with little schooling? I have a HS diploma |
I have my HS diploma ! I have some medical experience, but I recently had a baby and I think its time to go back to work...I do not have the time or $ to go back to school but will take a course or two....Open to any other suggestions for jobs that pay more than minimum wage and are within , but not limited to the medical field...Thanks for your help. You can look for a position as an ER tech or assistant. You don't need to have any schooling besides high school in most places. Basically, your job would be to take vitals on incoming patients, some phlebotomy, communicating with EMS (over the radio and phone), and transporting patients to their rooms when they get admitted and to radiology when needed. I'm pretty sure almost every hospital has a position like this. The money isn't too good, usually around $8-10 in my area, but with no college education, that's average. Also another idea for you is phlebotomy. Most places want you to be certified but the hospital I work for trains on the job. Even if you did get your cert., the phebotomy program is only a few weeks long and not expensive at all (check a junior college in your area). Good luck! Source(s): EMS/Hospital experience Triage in ER is handled by very experienced RN's - you'd need additional education for that. Manufacturing jobs can be available for various shifts, and typically pay above ,minimum wage. Good luck. hi check this link its useful http://workathomedataentrysites.blogspot... . |
