Technologist vs. Technician?

What's the difference in a Radiology Technologist and a Technician?? Is a Radiologist the same as a Radiology Technologist??

Is anyone either of these??

Do you like your job?

How hard were the classes?

A radiologist is a doctor who specializes in the interpretation of medical images such as MR scans, CT scans, radiographs, nuclear medicine scans, mammograms and sonograms.

A radiologic technologist is a registered x-ray tech who performs imaging examinations and is responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced.

A radiology technician is someone who does x-rays but is not registered.

I am a registered radiologic technologist and I love my job. It can be incredibly stressful but interesting also.

School was a tough 2 years, but it is doable and you will have a great sense of accomplishment when you're done! Source(s): me - RT(R)
