Going for ADN?

I will be graduating from LVN school in December. I'm now 55 yoa and would like to get my ADN. Am I too old to start this program?

Many ADN programs have a fast track for LVN (LPN) to RN. The school I attended had a 3-semester program (summer, fall and spring), and you would join up with the students in the second year of the ADN program.

Do some checking of schools in your area and ask if they offer this route. You'll be done in a year.

Think of it this way - in a year or two, you'll be the same age with or without your RN license, so you might as well go for it.

When I graduated from my ADN program, there were a lot of students who were in their 40's and up - the oldest in our class was 58.

You're never too old! Source(s): RN
I would suggest an LPN program..........
