Is Ultrasound Tech. a fun job? PLEASE ANSWER!!!?

I really am thinking of going into diagnstic medical sonography!

Is it a fun and rewarding career.....or not?

Decent pay and a lot less stress than nursing. The best part is the demand. You will have a lot of opportunity to work at any hospital in your town. That's the upside to any health care job. You will never be out of work. (Unlike your marketing major friends.) You should call some local hospitals and ask for this department. Talk to sonographers and see if you can "shadow" them for a few hours. That's what I did and that is the best way to get the "real world" scoop.
very boring
Hi, I've been an Echocardiographer for 4 years and love it. I get paid to diagnose heart disease with ultrasound.
I am not a sonographer, but I think this is a very interesting job. Just imagine being able to look at the insides of the human body.
I suppose this job would be what you made it. It would be fab to be able to check out unborn babies, or heart disease. But with any medical career there would be highs and lows. There can't always be good things to look at. You Wouldn't have a chance to get bored with medical miracles these days. You could never stop learning. WOW........... If only I could contemplate a job like that.... Good Luck
