Is the course work for a pharmacy technician difficult?

I am interested in attending school to become a pharamcy tech and from reading the description about the program it seems that the classwork sounds difficult. Can someone please tell me whether this is a difficult program or not?

The coursework needed to become a Pharmacy Technician is not real difficult. Some of the knowledge you will need includes converting English measurements to Metric and common uses of medications.

I took the exam to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician 5 years ago and passed it without taking any classes. I just ordered some books from Amazon, studied them and did the exercises. If you are fairly good at math, and have prepared for it either through self-study, or by taking a class, you should be able to pass the exam without too much trouble.

Many employers will hire you as a pharmacy technician as a "tech in training", and offer free classes that will help you pass the Pharmacy Technician exam. In my opinion, this is a better alternative than paying lots of money to a Pharmacy Technician school. Source(s): I've been working as a pharmacy technician for over 5 years
I failed the test 29 times before finally passing...but now, I have a new mobile home and a 1985 volvo wagon with a dent in the hood....life is awesome baby...just awesome
I certainly hope that it is difficult. It contains high-level math and organic chemistry. I don't want someone trying to choose between flippin' burgers or fillin' scripts (at least not mine).
I was thinking the same thing, might be interesting in finding out everyones answer here.
I know someone who went to pharmacy school. It is a very very stressful, difficult, but worth the work. After it is all over and the pay is wonderful!!
Any work for a secondary schooling program is going to be more than you had at any other school. But do not let that stop you. The work is different. If that is what you think you would like to do for a living then go through the studies.
