I have a question about pharmacy technician and medical assistant?

If you are a pharmacy technician or medical assistant or know someone who is a pharmacy technician or medical assistant do you love the job. Please give your reasons as to why you may love or hate the job.

my friend is a pharm. tech and does almost the same work the pharmacist does, but does not make near the same amount of money. my friend makes about $13 grand a year, whereas the pharmacist makes about $60 grand...quite the difference. as well, she doesn't get the best in regards to benefits. now, some pharm. techs do make more in other places, but often that is due to a higher cost of living. she does like her job in most aspects, but does find the pharmasists do act like they are superior and put her down.
it's a terrible job, you are on-call all the time and have to do double-shifts.
I was a cna and then trained but never became a medical assistant. I would have loved it. I only changed my mind, because I wanted to be a teacher instead. But, Pharmacy or the medical assistant was my number 2 and 3 choices. They are amazing and you dont have to dell with the "ew" things of medical jobs. You are more patient oriented and after the school, its pretty easy. A big responsibility but easy,...in my opinion I think you would like it. And there is lots of room for advancement too. Plus if you want to do something else...they are really good things to fall back on.

Good luck
