I have recently enrolled in a Medical Transcription Course - HELP!!? |
The courses I registered through is with US Careers - http://www.uscareerinstitute.com/index.a... Since I only signed up last Thursday, it may be too soon to tell if this is legit. I have not recieved any email confirmation. I have verified that a charge was placed on my CC, ($5 to start). Is anyone familiar with this "affiliated" school?? From what I can see, it is NOT AAMT and that is why I am concerned. An email placed earlier this morning has not been returned. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! I would say to go with your 'gut feeling' and not sign up with them. Perhaps there is such a course offered thru the local community college (if even a non-credit course) or county vo-tech school. And please stay away from those 'online schools' such as penn foster and stratford career as most employers don't find them to be reputable. Ask them to send you any contract and brochures about the school and what they promise (as far as a job is concerned afterward). Then look up on the internet to see if that company is good or bogus. I would not do it. Try your local college or tech vocational school, I am sure they have some classes for MT that will be much more respected by employers. Good luck. |
