What states are the best for RN salaries?
I would say Texas because they have some of the highest salaries in the nation, and the cost of living is very inexpensive! California nurses get paid well also, but when you add in the cost of living, they barely make ends meat.

Easy. I say CA, starting pay in the state prisons is at 80k a year from what my rn friends tell me.
I agree with the above person. You definitely have to factor in the cost of living, which is very high in CA. The salaries in TX are a little lower, but the cost of living is much lower so you get more for your money. TX is probably the best.
