I haven't completed my PREP this period. What will I do if the NMC asks for my portfolio? |
I am so busy looking after the kids and house that I haven't had a chance to do any study days. Plus, my employer (private nursing home) is very bad at providing any learning opportunities. I just can't get the chance to do any studying at home because it's too busy and noisy. I don't know what I'm going to do. I try to keep up to date by reading my nursing journal, but obviously that's not going to be enough! Any ways of doing a quick, easy catch-up? Time management is important for studying. I think I would have a word with your manager and tell her you need to be put forward for additional training as without you it you lose your registration and therefore they will lose you as an employee. If they wont, then consider moving to a better employer. Another suggestion, use some of your annual leave to study, or use quiet times in a night shift, or do online study. Mandatory training such as manual handling can be included in your hours also. Good luck. Also spend less time on Yahoo Answers and more time studying! |
