How to start a career in Mental Health?

Want a career change. No qualifications except a course with MIND. Whats the best route to start?

A friend of mine did voluntary work at the local hospital mental health unit, and was eventually offered a full time paid position.
Contact your local NHS trust to ask how to get on their books.
Try volunteering at a Mental Institution. While gaining the experience, try to finish some other courses related to mental health. If the volunteering works out well, you might get absorbed by the company top work as a contractual, regular employee. If not you could find a job somewhere else, armed with a new experience and some courses to back your application up.

Best,
